Legal Services Panel reports

The Panel is administered on a cluster basis with co-ordination on key aspects of the Panel provided by Transport for NSW. Transport for NSW collate billing information received from panel firms to provide agencies with panel performance reports. The Panel Deed sets out the requirements for panel firms to provide regular financial reports to agencies.

NSW Legal Services Panel Annual Report FY2021/2022

The NSW Government Legal Services Panel commenced on 1 July 2016. This is the first annual report in relation to the NSW Government Legal Services Panel since the new panel commenced on 1 July 2021.

Since its inception, the Panel has demonstrated benefits through improvement of Legal Panel Rates and volume discounts, value added services and streamlining of legal services procurement.

The Annual Report provides a broad overview of legal billings under the Panel. The data is broken down as follows: 

  • total legal panel billings;
  • total legal panel billings by sub-panel;
  • total legal panel billings by cluster;
  • total legal panel billings by firm size;
  • top ten firms based on total billings by sub-panel;
  • counsel briefed;
  • pro bono services provided by firms;
  • satisfaction survey;
  • legal panel billings by cluster, agency and sub-panel; and
  • social outcomes.
