Mallary: So what is the difference between a front line and a back end role? In front line roles, you will get to work directly with the public who use our services. For example, you could work in the court space and really help our mob to understand their bail conditions, their court matter, the justice system and support them to find the right services and programs to help them and their families. In back end roles, you don't work directly with the public. However, you do get to work behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. Back end jobs include administration officer and policy officer, data analysis, financial analysis and many, many more.

Information alert

Please note that at DCJ we commonly use the word "Aboriginal", recognising that Aboriginal people are the original inhabitants of NSW, the part of Australia we are responsible for. We acknowledge and respect that Torres Strait Islander people are among the First Nations of Australia and that both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are an important part of our staff and the communities we work with.
