Cody is a proud Gomeroi Man from Toomelah, with connection to the Gringai People of the Wonnarua in Singleton. Cody grew up in Kinship care with his Aunty, which he says he was “very lucky to have, because many Aboriginal children are denied their right to be placed in Kinship care”. Cody is currently employed with a Federal Government Department in Tamworth NSW, situated on Gomeroi country, where he feels very privileged to continue to live and work on such beautiful country.

As an AbSec Youth Ambassador, Cody brings his lived experience of OOHC in NSW and his understanding from working for a government agency, to the Reference Group.
