The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) has developed a Child Safe Policy to ensure the safety of children accessing their services. The policy aims to create an inclusive and transparent environment that promotes children's participation. It outlines the standards expected of staff, volunteers, and contractors and integrates with existing policies and training.
From January 29 to March 11, 2024, DCJ invites feedback to refine and enhance the policy. Your privacy will be protected, and any inquiries can be directed to childsafescheme@dcj.nsw.gov.au. Let's work together to create a safer environment for children.
If you use an iPhone running iOS 11 or later, simply open your camera app and point it at the code. Once your camera recognises the QR code, a notification will pop up that features a link. Tap on this link and your phone will direct you to the proper website.
If you are an Android user whose operating system is Android 9 or later, please follow the above process; open your camera and point it at the QR code. Make sure to hold your phone steady so that your camera can recognise it. Once it does, a notification will show up that links you to the correct website.
If your phone is not updated to the specified operating systems, you need to download a QR code reader app. These can be found in the Apple App Store or the Google Play shop. Once you have downloaded the app, point your phone camera at the code and wait for the link to appear.
