Project objective

DCJ provided funding to support people with disability to access services by increasing employment opportunities in the disability sector, investing in new care sector workers across five targeted regions in NSW; supporting the increase of NDIS plan utilisation in Western NSW with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and supporting increased NDIS access and plan utilisation for people with psychosocial disability.

The challenge

More Jobs More Care (MJMC) aims to increase the disability workforce, providing an increase to disability service provision and access to services.

What will success look like?

Funding provided to support people with disability to access services by increasing employment opportunities in the disability sector, investing in new care sector workers across five targeted regions in NSW; supporting the increase of NDIS plan utilisation in Western NSW with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and supporting increased NDIS access and plan utilisation for people with psychosocial disability.

Status update: More Jobs More Care (MJMC) was developed by the NSW Government to attract and retain new care sector workers and increase NDIS participant plan utilisation for people with disability who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
