New ABN for the Department of Communities and Justice

The former Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) and the NSW Department of Justice (DoJ) merged on 1 July 2019.

The Department is now known as the Department of Communities and Justice and has a new ABN to be used by all vendors and suppliers.

What Do The Changes Mean

The new ABN for the Department of Communities and Justice replaces ABNs for the former FACS and DoJ.

There is no change for Corrective Services or Corrective Services Industries.

Suppliers should please ensure the details they hold for the former departments are updated to reflect the new Department of Communities and Justice details.

Invoices must accurately reflect the new details of the Department of Communities and Justice and suppliers or vendors are requested to please follow the instructions provided on Purchase Orders you receive from us.

Where To Send Invoices

There is no change to where you send your invoice, please follow the instructions on Purchase Orders received from Department of Communities and Justice.

Existing contracts

Existing contracts remain valid. The change in name of the Department is effected through administrative orders and no other amendment or novation is required.

When do the changes take effect?

The changes take effect immediately but should appear on all Purchase Orders from 30 October 2019. Please update your records by this date.
