Safety in Care

Safety in Care is DCJ’s policy about our statutory role in the allocation, response, assessment, review and monitoring of safety issues for a child in care. It includes DCJ’s role when a PSP Provider holds primary case responsibility.

Read the Safety in Care presentation slides (PDF, 1.9 MB) which were part of Office of Senior Practitioner's information session delivered to the sector.

Watch the Safety in Care information session video to learn how safety in care requirements for PSP providers have been improved.

Read the Safety in Care PAC resource (PDF, 692.5 KB). This resource was designed for DCJ caseworkers use (only). It is shared here because it provides helpful tips for PSP providers and other NGOs about what to consider in planning collaborative work and assessment (with DCJ).
