Registration of interest now open for funding to support sexual violence response projects

17 December 2022

More than $10 million in joint NSW Government and Australian Federal Government funding will be made available to community organisations that support the development and delivery of sexual violence early intervention and response projects across NSW.

The programs aim to increase the protection for women from sexual violence and align with the strategic direction outlined in the NSW Sexual Violence Plan 2022-2027.

The Australian Government will work closely with State and Territory governments to deliver the commitments set out in the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-2032.

Successful applicants must consider how the project will continue to deliver an ongoing contribution to the community, as well as how the project could be scaled up if it shows it is delivering positive outcomes.

Organisations can register interest for funding from today by completing the Registration of Interest form by 27 January 2023.

Non-government and community sector organisations can register their interest by visiting: https://www.dcj.nsw.gov.au/service-providers/grants.html

An open and competitive project proposal stage will open in late February 2023. More information on the NSW Sexual Violence Project Fund is available at: https://www.dcj.nsw.gov.au/service-providers/grants.html
