NSW Ageing and Disability Commission

The NSW Ageing and Disability Commission is an independent agency of the NSW Government, established July 1 2019.

The Commission's role is to better protect older people and adults with disability from abuse, neglect and exploitation from someone they know living in their home or community, and to promote their fundamental human rights.

You can find out more about the Commission's vision, purpose and how they can help, and access tools and resources on the NSW Ageing and Disability Commission website.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.

Informed by lessons of the past, Department of Communities and Justice is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.

You can access our apology to the Stolen Generations.
